like an investigation. Right now, there's so much noise and conflicting advice out there. You don't need more commentary. You need to see the truth for yourself. In this exact five-step process that I used to uncover the text, spot different patterns, finally made the Bible click for me. So let's get into it. Welcome to Trace, where we don't just read the Bible. We investigate it. Trace is a five-step Bible study method that allows you to understand any passage of scripture that you read. It stands for text, research, audience, character, and every day. And it's simply a process where you look at the text, research what you

found, understand the audience that was written to discover the character of God, and apply what it

means for your everyday life. Simple. Five steps, any passage, every single time. And the reason

it's called trace, it is because in every verse chapter,

a book that you're reading, we're tracing what we're reading back to its original meaning

for us to gain understanding and ultimately see who God is. And I created this Bible study

method because as I started to really examine my own faith, I realized that most of

my relationship with God had come through secondhand information. And what I mean by that is we all

have had this experience, whether with ourselves or other people, where we may know of someone,

but we may not have actually interacted with them, meaning we know someone through what someone else has

told us about the experiences that they had or information that they've heard from this person

about them or when they saw them here or in this place, but we haven't gone straight to them

ourselves. We haven't met them personally, experienced them on a deep level or ever actually

encountered them. And I realized that that's what

started to happen with my faith, that I had only known God through what other people said about

him experiences that they had with him or things that they did with him. But I never really spent a

lot of time going to spend time with him myself.

And so as I started to challenge myself in that, I realized that my time in the Word was a really big culprit of that.

And because I didn't really ever know where to start or what to do when I opened the Bible, it kind of steered me away from it.
