question just like this one. Hi Jamie, I'm Francesca from Belgium.

I'm 18 and I just want to say that I love your podcasts and they're very encouraging.

But I noticed that I don't have many guy friends and I realize it is because every time I meet a guy, I mean not every time, but often when I get to talking I just love the attention and we talk but then we realize what I'm doing or the guy

had another impression of me that I like him. It gets really awkward and after that happens we don't

talk anymore and it makes me feel so bad because you know it just makes me feel bad.

And I've been struggling with that, and I just want to know how to handle these situations

or how I get, or how I get rid of my love for attention.

I want to ask if it's just me or if it's common.

Francesca, I think it's so beautiful that you're able to be so open

and so honest with something that can be so

difficult and so frustrating to deal with. I know that you really do sound like

you're really hurting in this and you're trying to figure out how to not be

flirty with your guy friends and how to not be too romantic you know like or sorry

it's not to always see them in a romantic lens in a romantic way.

And I know that that can be very difficult for you.

And I think the first step is to acknowledge it.
