Carol Alwell, and I'm excited to be back with you today. So earlier this week, I had the

privilege to speak on a panel at an event called Gender Wars, the rise of the alpha female

through the eyes of modern men. It was an incredible event. There was a panel of women that spoke

first. I was on that panel. It was moderated by Victoria Jen Rodriguez, who runs the female

collaborative, that is the nonprofit organization that put this event on. And then there were a panel

of men who spoke. And we talked a little bit about business, but we talked a lot about relationships

and the way successful alpha females relate to successful alpha men. If you're listening to this

podcast, I can pretty much guess that you're an alpha female, that you are a woman who is super

confident in herself, goes for what she wants, doesn't kind of lean back often. You like to sort

of run the show in your life, in your business, in your relationships. And it can get tricky. It can

get a little bit intimidating, I think, for men when they are getting to know an alpha woman,

when they are dating an alpha woman, when they are dealing with a woman who really is just in her

power. You know, it really doesn't leave a lot of space for the man to quote be the man. And I

say I use that term, obviously we're talking about men and women in this episode. And the gender

dynamics that exists between us, I know it's different in different types of relationships, but

this specifically is just an interesting phenomenon. And we talked a lot about it on the panel. And

one of the things that came up that I thought was really fascinating. Victoria talked about timelines

when it comes to dating. And how women tend to often be in a rush. And we want to know what's

going to happen next. And we, you know, we want to know the man's intentions. And we want to know

like what his five-year plan is. And we come into this date or this relationship with a whole

long checklist. And oftentimes the man walks into a date with just simply wanting to get to know
