about hiring, I wasn't thinking about promoting or developing or coaching.

I think we think that manager was thinking about those people doing stupid inefficient things

like fighting and complaining and showing up late and wanting to leave early and

dropping balls and gossiping. Exactly. Yeah man that's a worldwide

management problem and it just man it, it won't go away.

Yeah, at least in some organizations.

Yeah, you know, you hear a manager and you hear rumors that Bob said X about Terry's ego or Jane said Y about Darlene's skirt, you know, feelings get hurt, work suffers, you know, somebody complains, and the mistake that

somebody manages to make is I try to get to the bottom of things

which there's nothing there there's no bottom.

So what do you do about it right?

The first one is called first set-no policy which is the major tools rule of

policy setting by the way.

So when you mean first set- no policy clearly you mean set a no

gosying policy right? I mean not not no set no policy. No. No. No. Yeah no no.

Well I'll describe a second we second. We don't like policies.

Yeah, we don't, too many managers want to set a policy and it's always a time.

Oh, okay. So you mean it just literally the way you said it, set no policy.
