0:25.0 | You have the Echorin gland, okay? |
0:28.0 | You have another gland called the apocrine gland, |
0:30.0 | and then you have the third one, which is sebaceous gland, okay? |
0:33.0 | So I'm going to attempt to make this very, very simple, okay? |
0:37.0 | Just to really kind of navigate through it in a simple way, |
0:39.0 | because there's a bit of complexity. |
0:42.0 | Now, this gland responds with exercise, nervousness, |
0:48.0 | emotional stress, hot weather. |
0:50.0 | And then the apocrine gland responds to emotional stress, fear, pain. |
0:56.0 | And the sebaceous gland is a little bit different, |
0:58.0 | because it's releasing kind of this little bit of an oil called sebum for lubrication. |
1:03.0 | These two glands are releasing salt and other electrolytes. |
1:07.0 | So these two glands are primarily for cooling, okay? |
1:12.0 | So causing this sweating reaction, |
1:14.0 | and then the evaporation of the liquid creating a cooling sensation. |
1:18.0 | So these two are really involved with temperature regulation. |
