This is rare.

I'm Katie Prescott, and yeah, Danny and I are actually in the same studio

because we've just finished hosting the Times Tech Summit

2025 here in the city of London.

It was a great success.

It was a very fun day.

And there was a bunch of big names there, equally big ideas and lots to talk about from

AI leaders, politicians, startups, tech giants,

everybody was there.

And kind of a mad day to do it as well, the day after the internet fell over.

Or as the Wall Street Journal said, as Amazon, the day after Amazon broke the internet.

Anyway, it also means it is exactly a year since last year's summit when we launched this podcast, which is

kind of quite an anniversary. So it's a year old and it's really interesting to remember what

things we were talking about at that summit when people were still asking, what is AI?

And do you use AI? Totally. Because now it's like how do we power it?

We're spending trillions of dollars, how do you regulate it,

how do you maybe make some money from these things before it takes all of our jobs,

like lots of big thorny stuff.
