host Kara all well and I'm so happy to be back with you today so last night in

New York City the food fighters played the first post-COVID concert that we

have had since the shutdown in March of 2020 due to the pandemic and I unfortunately

did not get to go I really wanted to go but it just timing didn't work out but I

watched a lot of the Instagram stories of the show and I had a lot of friends

who were there and I read an article about it and I just felt so overwhelmed

watching life start to come back the concert was like I said the first time

that we were all able to kind of get together in a large group it was for

vaccinated people only so you know the city took all the safety precautions

possible it was at Madison Square Garden so thousands and thousands of

people and just like witnessing life coming back after so much fear and so

much anxiety that was 2020 you know surrounding COVID surrounding just like

such an awful tragic year was just really overwhelming honestly I was

watching like you know the food fighters perform a song and I just like got so

overwhelmed with emotion and I just started crying and I remember thinking

last year hearing so many people around me you know and I live in New York City so

it was COVID was a different beast here let's just put it that way hit us first

where you know a major city we're on top of each other it was just and I'm not

taking away from any other city that went through it or you know anywhere but it

was just it felt different here I think because of just the way that things sort

of panned out and I have a lot of friends who work in you know service industry
