One of the most challenging things about having to wait for anything, especially for any significant period of time,

is that in that space, we are constantly being reminded of what we lack, what we don't have,

what's missing, the time that's running out. However, while we may not be able to freeze or reverse

time and we may encounter and experience loss and even grieve while we are waiting, something

else is happening at the very same time. We are also growing in some way. We are learning something

about perhaps ourselves, our relationships, our beliefs, the things we put our hope in.

And though the waiting is often uninvited, uncomfortable, uncertain, at the very same time. There are a few good things

that can come out of waiting. It's hard to stay hopeful in the waiting. So here are five signs

that you are finding joy in the waiting. Here are five signs that right here, right now,

even while you're waiting, you're probably already starting to see things differently.

You're starting to recognize how you're growing and how you're learning. Even if it's just in the

smallest way, I hope that these words can encourage you to keep going step

by step, breath by breath, knowing that the waiting is not in vain. Number one, you've had to

modify your dreams and put a pause on certain things you cared about. And you're also discovering new interests that you can enjoy
