Proverbs 1821 says the tongue has the power of life and death.

I really thought I was helping him when it was having the opposite effect.

You know, I think she thought I can make him better by critique.

When you speak death into people, they get discouraged.

They don't get motivated.

They pull away.

But when you speak life, it motivates. And so

when Anne started speaking affirmation and I believe in you and I trust you, you're a good man.

I wanted to become the man she said I was. But if you actually ask God to change the way you see

him and see the greatness that is in there. Maybe it's buried under several layers,

but you start calling that out. Your man is going to respond in a positive way, not a negative way.

That's scriptural. It's psychological as well, but it's going to happen. You could pray for

your marriage all you want, but if your words are tearing your spouse down,
