Today's guest on the Flipped Lifestyle Podcast is Dr. Cathleen King of PrimalTrust.org!
Cathleen is an expert on chronic illness, chronic trauma, relationship/attachment repair, and inner child healing. She has the rare combination of in-depth doctoral-level education and training, over 20 years coaching others in the health/healing world, and has been through her own heroine's journey of spending 2 decades navigating through deep, debilitating illness.
After navigating through her illness, Cathleen started creating courses and doing some coaching, but we told her about memberships, and everything changed!
She saw what was possible with memberships and that she only needed about 150 people to reach her income goals. Well, Cathleen launched and now has 700+ members within 6 months of opening up her membership!
You've gotta listen to this one!

| 1:12.9 | All right, let's get started. What is going on, everybody? Welcome back to the Flip Lifestyle podcast. I'm always excited. But man, I'm especially excited today because one of my favorite people on the planet is on my podcast. Today, Kathleen King, what is going on? Hi, Shane. So good to be here. We Voxer a lot. So it's also, it's just really, I love Zoom. We're in such a blessed era that we live on opposite ends of the country and we get to see each other while we talk. Like when I was growing in the 80s, I couldn't imagine seeing people like while we talked, right? Or the 90s. Like, you just had a big wire attached to a wall, you know? And now we get to see each other. Isn't that amazing? Yeah, it's so fun. Do you remember Max Headroom? I just remembered this. I don't know. Do you remember this character where he had a video he could call you. Do you remember this? Do you remember this? |
| 1:18.9 | Like that's kind of what we're doing right now. We're in the future. We are in the future right now. We met in the strangest way. We were at an event and I was standing there and I'm like really social and I'm kind of a hugger. |
| 1:45.1 | And like, and I told Jocelyn, I said, I'm going to hug the next person that walks through that door. And like, you walk in. I'm like, what's up, friend? Hi, my new friend. And you're like, hey, what's going on? And like it was like, I don't know, it was just like instant friendship when I saw you. Did you feel that way when we met each other? |
| 1:45.6 | Yeah, totally. |
| 2:00.9 | It was, I was so nervous to be at that event and to walk in and just be embraced by this big guy who just came up and hug me. It was like. Which could be scary in some circumstances. Let's be honest. Yeah. That could go in, that could go in a lot of different directions. |
| 2:02.1 | You know what I mean? |
| 2:03.5 | Like what is happening? |
| 2:04.5 | I don't know where I am. |
| 2:05.7 | What is going on here? |
| 2:13.6 | But then we got to sit down and like it was, you know, and as with most things that when people talk to me, you know, I, you're like, hey, what do you do? |
| 2:34.5 | And I'm like, well, I help people create income and membership and community. And, and then you were like, really? And I'm like, yeah. And you were doing like some amazing things. And we just kind of started talking about your business. And then like, what happened next is insane, which we'll talk about more. But like, talk to me a little bit like in the audience about what, what were you doing that day when you walked in? |
| 2:38.9 | Like what did your business look like? What's your goal? What's your mission? What's your purpose? |
| 2:46.1 | And how were you accomplishing that in the world before that day that we met? Yeah. So my main goal at the time was just building courses for teaching people with chronic illness and trauma, how to regulate their nervous system. |
| 2:54.0 | And I was asked by the event coordinator where we met, Aaron, File, to help with brain retraining with all of these CEOs and executives. |
| 3:04.4 | And I'm like, well, do they have chronic illness? Are they in trauma? |
| 3:08.1 | Because that's my deal. |
| 3:09.0 | And they're like, well, you know, not all of them, but most of them are just trying to, |
