Father, our prayer is that you might now not let us be put to shame when we put our hope in you,

showered, made myself a cup of hot tea, and settled in to enjoy a time of fellowship with Jesus, which I do every morning,

I remember pausing before I began to read my four appointed places in the Bible

and thinking, I love this quietness.

I love this carpet.

This furniture, this fireplace. I love this chair and how it supports me. I love the lighting, this little small spot where Jesus and I meet. I love the warmth in the cold morning. I love the feeling in my muscles. I love this orange wool sweater
