Guys, today I'm here with Dr. John Bender, who is a family physician from Fort Collins, Colorado.

He is on the board of the American Academy of Family Physicians and we met at a conference hosted by HintHealth

and hit it off right away and John was coming through Las Vegas.

We were talking about the fixes, the wrong word. It's just blow up primary care and reinvent it in a way that's actually going to be health 3.0 plus.

There is so much change going on in primary care. I'm going to start with the challenge first, which is the American Academy Family Physicians,

which has about 131,000 members and is a large chunk of primary care, does a survey every year.

In recent survey results came back saying that 45% of our members are saying that if they had to do it over again, they wouldn't go into family medicine.

That low, I would have thought it might have been higher.

Based on national studies.

But still 45% is still a big chunk of individuals saying I wish I was doing something else.

When we get into the meat of it, a lot of them are very supportive of primary care as far as what they believe it could be,

but they're frustrated with what the reality is.
