My name is Dan and I'm the editor of Science and Nature, the monthly magazine from the team behind The Week Junior.

On this podcast, we investigate weird events in strange creatures and mysterious places.

So, Stevie, on the 29th of November,

Moana 2 is coming out in cinemas,

and I'm very excited.

It's a big event for my family.

We listen to the soundtrack, literally all the time,

wherever we go to in the car,

the soundtrack of the first one.

But to celebrate the release of the film,

this Moana 2 film, the new one, we're investigating the technique that Moana's people

used to navigate across the open sea. It's an ancient art called Wayfinding. Yeah, it is.

And we're the same in this house as well.

Even my youngest is getting into it now.

Yeah, so before we start with that, let's talk about Polynesia and what it is.

So it's a collection of more than 1,000 islands in the Pacific Ocean.

Some of these islands are more than 2,000 miles apart and
