Hey my friends it's time for the morning mindset once again. I'm glad you're with me. You and I have a privilege really every morning to open the word of God and to get our minds aligned with his way of thinking. That's what we are endeavoring to do through the morning mindset.

So I'm glad that you've taken this step to get yourself on

track. Let's look together today at Ephesians chapter 5 verses 11 through 14.

To get us into the context of what Paul is talking about today, I want to share

a little bit of a personal story with you. My mother passed away on April 4th of this year, so just

barely over two months ago and she was 95 years old she had

lived a life of following Jesus since the time she was probably in her early to

mid-20s and she was the one who led me to faith in Christ.

Now we have not had a memorial service for her or a funeral because in, before she passed away, all my friends are already

dead.

So the point is just for us as family to come around and remember her and in kind of a time of closure

for the family.

Friends, I bring all that up because I want you to think and kind of a time of closure for the family.

Friends, I bring all that up because I want you to think about the last funeral that you went to.

They feel like a very final thing, don't they? They feel permanent. But friends, in Jesus' way of running things, in Jesus'

economy, you might say, nothing is permanent. He can change the very worst and most permanent things in our lives and today's passage is going to show us how he has done that for us.
