It's been thousands of years since woolly mammoths roamed the earth, but the chance of seeing

That's kinda how I felt when I first heard this.

It sounds like a scene from Jurassic Park, but it's true.

Scientists at a company called Colossal are trying to use genetic engineering to bring

woolly mammoths back.

Using CRISPR genome editing technology, a team of scientists aimed to genetically resurrect

a woolly mammoth by 2027.

And all this is getting people pretty excited.
