Anybody afraid of snakes?

Yeah, like you kind of freaked out right now.

I was like, it's up here, you know, it's not down there. I was afraid of snakes. I grew up on a

farm, you know. I was told the only good snake is a... That's right. I grew up under that

mentality. They're all dangerous. It's interesting. Let's just talk about this for a second. So what happened was that we would see snakes and I would try to say what they were. And I was always like the no-it-all. I'm like, oh, that's a water moccasin. You know, and I'm like, oh, that's a copperhead. And my friend that knows snakes is like, no, that's actually a plain-bellied water snake they're harmless uh no that's actually a hog nose and and I was always wrong because I just thought every snake every snake's a dangerous snake they're all venomous they're all going to hurt you like that's me you see something on the patio like that you burn the house down you sell it you do whatever right like that's that is how i was

taught a lot of you were taught the same ideas now here's the truth let me just share some truth with

you 105 species of snakes in texas uh there's only four kinds that are venomous in Texas you

have a cotton mouth a copperhead a coral snake and a rattlesnake. 85% of the snakes that you come in contact with are absolutely harmless to you. And in fact, some of them are dangerous to snakes. For example, if you're having a conversation on your patio, then there's a king snake in the corner and you see it, right? That's like a, there's not a chance.

You're like, oh, look at that, a cute little snake in the corner. So anyways, have you been this weekend? Right? You're like, oh, ha! You know, like, let's check. We got to do something. Get the shovel, right? Get the shovel. We've got to get the, it's a snake. All snakes need, right?

And this is the mindset that we've had for so long.

Now, here's the truth.

You're actually safer it's a snake. All snakes need, right? And this is the mindset that we've had for so long.

King snakes eat copperheads and venomous snakes.

That's what they do.
