What we're asking people to think about is how long should a career be? That's the question that you

have to answer, not whether or not you should be working or not working. It's how long should a career be?

And so when we came up, when we started thinking about that, we came up with a round number 15 years.

And that's mostly based on the accepted levels of tenure that we apply everywhere else in our society.

We say that for early education education roughly takes about 12 years to get the basics of how things work. If you want a graduate

degree or a specialized degree, okay, that's another four years, maybe eight if you want to be

like a neurosurgeon, right? If you're married around year seven is about the time where

things start to get a little, you know, iffy. Like that's an eternity. And you meet somebody

who's been married more than 15 years. Like, damn. Like, wow, good on you. Right. So careers

should be held in that same vein where it's like, how long are you agreeing to participate in this
