Now, the idea behind today's promotion is to help send you on a family. These are, of course, automated calls that promise everything from free vacations and airline tickets to threat supposedly coming from the IRS.

These so-called robocalls have become a real nuisance all across the United States.

Last month alone, Americans received 3,400 million unwanted automated phone calls,

landline or wireless over the last year. Robocalls are up by 900 million each and every month.

The reason for the increase is pretty easy to understand. Last year, Americans lost $9.5 billion to these scam calls.

And the risk to consumers is very real. By the end of this year, one in ten Americans will
