What if I told you that reading the Bible could actually help you hear God's voice?

Because let's be honest, most people read the Bible every single day, but leave thinking the same thing.

God, why didn't I hear you speak?

And this used to be me every single day.

There'd be moments in my walk with God where I would be reading the Bible every single day.

I'm highlighting verses, downloading all the devotionals, and yet it seemed as if

the words were flat on the page. And this was interesting to me because every minister or mentor I had

grown up always told me that the Bible was the number one way that God communicated to me.

But every time I read a verse, chapter, or book, it still seemed as if God wasn't saying a thing.

I was confused. I was lost and couldn't really comprehend what was being said about who God was

and what he wanted me to do. But all of that changed when I started asking this one question

every time I opened the Bible. And in this episode, I want to take you through what this one question was to help you really learn how to study the Bible, how God intended. So your Bible study time can actually turn into a two-way conversation with God. So with that being said, I'm your host, Darren Starks. And for the next couple weeks, I really want to take you

through what it looks like to hear God's voice through the word. And this is primarily because

starting at the beginning of this year, I've been on this seminary track at my church. And so I've

been learning more about how to interpret the Bible, what the Bible is and what it isn't. And it has completely changed

the way that I hear from God. And it's allowed the Bible to actually come alive. And I don't

mean to exaggerate or overemphasize that just for the sake of it. It genuinely has transformed

everything. And so the same journey that I've been on and what I've been able to experience,
