| 1:09.3 | So almost you know if you're looking at that almost half of the people who graduate college never read another book again the rest of their life. |
| 1:15.9 | An 80% of US families did not buy a book last year that means one out of five families bought a book 20% 4 out of 5 did not. |
| 1:25.8 | And here's a crazy part about it if you want to set yourself apart the average CEO read 60 books per year. |
| 1:35.2 | So just look at that for a second 33% of high school graduates never read another book again. |
| 1:40.4 | 42% of college graduates never read another book again an 80% of US families did not buy a book last year. |
| 1:47.0 | But the average CEO reads 60 books per year that's more than one book per week. |
| 1:54.6 | So what does it show you if you want to get ahead in life if you want to be more successful if you want to set yourself apart from the crowd. |
| 2:01.4 | This is an amazing secret because it shows you how you can get ahead. |
| 2:05.9 | You just simply have to develop the habit and the routine of reading more often now when I say reading this doesn't necessarily mean fiction books you can read fiction books if you want. |
| 2:16.6 | But when they're actually looking at the CEOs the CEOs are not really reading fiction books reading nonfiction books business books self help books fitness books all of these things to improve who they are as a person. |
| 2:29.1 | And if you're not sold enough of why you should be reading more books reading also improves your focus and improves your memory and improves your empathy and communication skills and especially important right now with all the stuff that's happening in the world right now it reduces your stress and it improves your mental health. |
