Well, you know, one of the things that creates such an awful work environment and thus an awful work experience is bad leadership.

And we had a post that went viral last year when I just simply said research shows that your leader has more impact on your

mental health than anybody else in your life and it just went you know and you know just kind of a simple

statement and that again there wasn't any depth or anything wise to what I said I was just

simply reporting the facts but it shows that that there was a nerve a really raw nerve.

So we were talking about this and I want to cover this, you know, what are some very practical tell tell signs?

So that you realize this is not a mistake. This is bad leadership. This isn't an accident. It's bad leadership. And oh by the way some of you are in a leadership role and you want to know how do I know if I'm doing a good job if you're not doing these things you're in the clear but if you're doing some of these things I got news

for you you are in that moment when you're doing these things you're a bad leader

and if you keep doing these things you will be bad leader so we go. I've come up with the deadly dozen. Twelve

leadership traits that will kill an organization. The deadly doesn't, they are deadly if repeated and they become habitual.

Here we go. Gotta get through 12. Pay attention. Take some notes. Number one. And by the

way, no particular order on these. These are just what I think are the deadly

dozen of leadership traits that kill an organization. Number one, micromanagement. Micromanagement. This is a leader who's terrified, petrified, and because of their fear, they are trying to answer their fear with control.

They don't trust the employees they lead because they are so afraid

just cannot let go

they are holding on for dear life if this is white knuckle

management

and this turns into spying on people, creating crazy policies, treating people like children. I've called it nanny ship before on the show.
