Welcome back. It's been a crazy couple years, man. It's been a wild couple of years.

And I say that I've never been a fan of people who are overly dramatic about shit and, you know, oh, I had such a hard day.

And, oh, this month has been crazy. But these last two years have been a motherfucker. And I'm not just talking about for me or you

I'm talking about for the world I mean I know at least in my lifetime I've never experienced

the world shut down like I've never experienced that where you literally had to stay in your

house. Things were closed, stores were closed. So the closest thing I could remember growing up

is when it was snowy and, you know, school was shut down. And, you know, not just obviously coronavirus, you add that on top of everything else that's happening globally from human rights issues to the economy, to the effects of the shutdown on people's mental health, emotional health,

to the effects of these things on their relationships.

Add that on top of to the everyday or normal quote-unquote things that happen in one's life on a day-to-day deaths in the family trauma from the past, uncertainty of one's future. There's a lot of things that

have been happening. And there's a lot of people who are suffering and suffering in a way that

feels foreign to them. There's a lot of people in what I will call or refer to as, you know, being in a dark place.

I'm not going to give some clinical name for it. I'm not going to say depression or, you know, anxiety or whatever else.

Because at the end of the day, depression, anxiety, these aren't things that someone draws our blood

and tests us for with a nose swab.

It's behavioral things that we'll identify

But I wanna address the realities of how to pull yourself up out of what I call a dark place.

And think about right now whether you're in a dark place right now or whether you've come out of one or whether you're in a great place right now, there's someone you know around you who is in a dark place trying to get themselves

out of a dark place and you for sure will be in a dark place at some point or another in your

life. You will be in a place where the emotional burdens feel like they're too much for you to handle.
