Welcome to my channel. I'm Dr. Michelle Daab, and I'm so happy that you're here today as we talk about how to prepare for marriage as a single woman.

This video was requested by one of you, so thank you, and I hope that it helps to answer your

question. Being single is such an exciting time as you think about who you are and you analyze

yourself and find ways to change and grow to be the woman that you know you're supposed to be.

And it's beautiful because you get to imagine and envision this dream

man that you've always wanted that's going to just sweep you away and make your life beautiful.

However, it is important that you actually know what it's like to be a wife, that you're

ready for that. You don't want to wait until you meet

this amazing man to start working on these things. It's going to be too late by that time. You want

to do it now. And this is one of those things where it can be difficult if you never had an example.

Maybe you grew up in a single parent home and your mother was really bitter towards men and

didn't have a good attitude towards dating and towards marriage.

Or maybe you grew up in a foster care system where you never really got to experience

womanhood in a way where there was joy and happiness and loving

one another. Maybe you just don't have people in your life who are married or who are marriage

minded. You want to make sure that you're planting yourself intentionally in a place where you're

going to blossom and grow to be a

wonderful life. There's no point in going through all of this, changing who you are and

becoming this amazing woman and having this grand wedding and having your family and friends

and everyone just so happy for you just to get divorced.
