Hey church family, welcome to our home. We're so excited to share this time with you today.

Yeah, this is one of our favorite weeks of the year, actually, this week between Christmas and New Year's,

because it feels like we kind of get to reset our lives and refocus on what God

has for us in this coming year. Yeah, so we want to share with you some of the things that we've

learned along the way that have been helpful for us. And we want to start by looking back. And as we

recognize, we're going from one year to the next. It's been a full year for us, lots of activity,

and I'm sure for you as well.

And one of the habits for us that we find

to be very helpful in this time of year

is to look back and remember what we've seen God do in our lives.

Yeah, just remembering is a very biblical word

that God encourages us to remember his faithfulness and to go back through an account in our lives.

Where did we see God come through for us this year?

How can we recount his mercy, his faithfulness?

Because as we do that, it really does help to strengthen our faith and to give us a sense

of confidence that as we move into this new year, he's been faithful in the past, and he's going

to continue to be faithful in this new year. So it strengthens our faith to look backwards because

then we can grow on that and moving forward. Yeah, so when we think about this, there's some things that we're looking for, right?

We're looking for those moments where maybe a certain circumstance could have turned out differently.

We're looking for times where God supernaturally strengthened us or comforted us,

where we could sense his presence.
