0:17.2	Today, we want to discuss how to prepare for a lesson so you can fulfill that role with confidence
0:24.7	and with freedom. Now, there is a long-range type of planning that needs to be done, as well as
0:32.1	this shorter-range preparation. The long-range planning is done once a year or once a term, and that includes
0:40.7	selecting which subjects to teach and which topics you'll cover in each of those subjects, what
0:46.9	resources you're going to use, which lessons you'll do on which days of the week, and what each
0:53.2	day's schedule will look like. I walk you through
0:56.9	those long-range planning steps in an episode called Five Steps to Planning Your Charlotte
1:03.6	Mason Education. This episode will focus on the short-term preparation for individual lessons. I encourage you choose a weekly
1:15.7	rhythm that will give you the most competence as you teach. You might do this lesson preparation
1:22.5	once a week, or perhaps every day in the evenings, if that works best for you.
1:28.6	The important thing is to find a rhythm that helps you head into each day's lessons,
1:35.3	feeling prepared and confident.
1:38.3	Many of you know that the organization that Charlotte Mason founded and directed was called the PN.E.U. Parents' National
