These big occasions are often drenched in alcohol and are a huge trigger. So if you're sober, big events might nudge you into believing one won't hurt.

And the feeling of missing out might come along

and bite you on the sober ass then before you know it your amazing stretch of sobriety is

also have two garden parties at our house so every weekend we've got a party. Croquet in the garden, darling.

No, not quite as posh as that. And even though I'm hoping to stay sober, I'm going to need some

tools in place so my elbow stays well and truly untwisted. Yeah, I think actually being at an event

surrounded by booze and seeing everyone you know gets shit-faced while you're

nervously stood holding an orangina at the side of the dance floor can feel so overwhelming

and that fuck-it button suddenly feels within reach. Today we will implement some strategies
