0:00.0	For the past 20 or 30 years, I've probably had eight full, completely different careers.
0:13.1	A dozen or so passions, hobbies that I was eventually able to monetize.
0:19.0	I went from being a software guy to working in the entertainment industry, to working
0:24.3	in finance, to writing, to writing much more personal stuff and kind of getting in the
0:29.2	self-help space and on and on and on, doing stand-up comedy, doing so many different things.
0:35.7	And I always thought, A, sometimes I wondered if something was wrong with me, like I was
0:41.5	going to be a jack of all trades master of none.
0:44.0	But other times, I really felt, and this had been verified for me by my own experiences,
0:49.8	I really felt that this was a good way to live life.
0:53.2	And I always wrote and encouraged other people to pursue, not in a cliche way pursue their
0:58.6	passions, but really think about what they want to do right now.
1:03.0	I wrote Skip Blind about this, all the different ways you can pursue your dreams and the things
1:08.4	that you've been interested in all along, instead of just doing the straight and narrow path
1:12.6	of one career.
1:14.8	But I never really knew how to put it fully into words.
1:19.0	But this next guest, Bruce Filer, he writes specifically about this.
