workshop. Yes, laziness is that workshop where the devil works on your life. Someone said

laziness grows on people. It begins in cobwebs, but it ends in iron chains.

Thomas Brooks said, a lazy spirit is always a losing spirit.

The lazy man does not, will not, cannot pray, for prayer demands energy.

Now we all know the seven deadly sins that the church combined, you know, and one of them was actually

slothfulness or laziness. In the fifth and sixth century, many in the church included diligence on the list of seven heavenly virtues to counter the laziness, which was one of the seven deadly sin.

Why?

Because the saints throughout the redemptive history have always considered diligence as a virtue.

Both the Old Testament and the New Testament

consistently command us to be diligent and warn against the dangers of being

slothful. For example, Romans 12 11, do not be slothful in zeal, but be fervent in the spirit,

serve the Lord. 2. Thessalonians chapter 3 verses 10 and 11, if anyone is not willing to work,

let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busy
