He didn't require me to give him my money and he didn't control it.

But what he did was, he knew that I couldn't afford to live alone.

So when it came time to like pay the bills and pay the rent, he knew that if I didn't get his money or the other half, everything was under my name.

So he knew that all he had to do was pick up and leave and how was I going to figure it out?

So because he knew this, he would threaten that he'd leave, like, how was I going to pay the rent?

And toward the end, like when we separated, he took his name off the light bill without telling me anything.

I didn't even know his name was on the light bill.

It was a hot mess.
