Summary

Evil is a real and destructive force in our lives, communities, and the world that we must overcome or risk being overcome by it. In Romans 12:21, Paul gives us the key to overcoming evil, and we learn specific tactics from Scripture to put this charge into action.

Well, Wednesday night, Lord will be going through chapter 12, finishing chapter 12.

That's my desire is to finish chapter 12 of Romans.

Let's turn there right now, Romans chapter 12 as we continue verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book through the Bible.

We only got to verse 8 on Wednesday night, but this chapter is packed full of radical and

important stuff. One of those radical truths is found in a tiny singular verse here in Romans

chapter 12. And I'd like to really tune into this one because, man, it's such a key in our

Christian walk. Remember, Romans 1 through 11 really is talking

about salvation and where does salvation come from in the gospel message. But in chapter 12,

Paul is shifting gears not to how are you saved and what is the, when you look under the hood of

the gospel, what is that? He shifts from that to, now that you are saved, what do you do?

And he said, you know, present your bodies a living sacrifice, you know, acceptable, pleasing to the Lord.

This is what he's kind of doing. But one of those how-to statements is given, and this is so important,
