Today I've been thinking a lot about time. I picked up two fascinating books. One of them is

0:07.2

Stephen Hawking, maybe the greatest thinker of the last 500 years. His book is called The Theory

0:15.4

of Everything, The Origin and Fate of the Universe. And I also was reading Start Late Finish Rich

0:23.0

by David Bach. It's a financial planning book. If you're old or feel older and feel like you've

0:31.9

missed out and haven't saved up enough money or made enough money, it's his little recipe on how to

0:38.4

make more money for retirement. And really it's really for any age, but I thought it was an

0:44.1

interesting title. Start late finish rich. And the first chapter David Bach talks about

0:52.4

move on. So you started late, give yourself a break already. If only I had started saving when I was

1:01.7

younger, you can replace that word with just about anything. I don't think there's any human that

1:06.3

I've ever met that doesn't have some level of regret about time wasted money wasted opportunities

1:13.9

wasted potential relationships wasted husband wife boyfriend girlfriend happiness squandered. And

1:24.3

even today was kind of a weird day. I felt like I never got ahead. Generally I'm fairly organized

1:29.4

in life and business and it was like today was the day I was always an hour behind two hours behind.

1:35.9

And so I was piecing all these books together. I thought I would talk a little bit about time. And

1:41.7

you know it's kind of a profound concept. Stephen Hawking in this book, the theory of everything. He

1:46.7

asks a question. For those of you by the way, I don't know Stephen Hawking and he's a professor

1:53.6

and astrophysicist slash physicist slash I don't know. I think he has the Newton chair which is

2:01.3

basically the smartest science mathematician physicist in the world. And it's amazing because he's

2:09.2

in a wheelchair. So he's like doing all this in a wheelchair. It's kind of like Helen Keller.

2:13.6

You read about her and it's somebody who couldn't see, speak or hear yet.

2:22.3

Became such an amazing person. We still remember her name and read her books, you know,

2:26.7

100 years later. But Stephen Hawking says about time he goes, why is it that we remember the past
