How to not care.

I want to share with you three steps to not caring.

Step one is stop falling.

Romans 815 says,

You did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear.

When we fall back into fear, what we're doing is we're caring about the wrong things.

God has saved you. You have trusted in Him.

And what happens then is he gives you his spirit.

That spirit is not a spirit of slavery. That was the spirit that was upon you before you met God.

You were a slave to your thoughts. You were a slave to fear. To stop falling back into fear is to say to myself,

I'm going to stop caring about things that don't matter. God's kids

live different than the other kids in the world. In Matthew chapter 4, Jesus was led by the spirit

into the wilderness and guess what happened when he was out there? He was tempted for 40 days and 40 nights

by the enemy. And did he fall back into fear? The devil tapped on every single nerve to try to get Jesus to fall

into fear and he didn't fall. Why? He was led there by the spirit. If you're led by the spirit,

you won't be led by the flesh. Step number two is son first. You have to remember that you are a son

first. You two ladies, I'm talking to you. Look at Romans 815. It says, we have received the spirit of adoption as sons. In the Bible, firstborn sons got all the inheritance, all the good stuff that was left to him by the father. Jesus is the firstborn of all creation. Yes, he was born in the Christmas account,

but before that he existed. He doesn't have a beginning date. He doesn't have an end date. He has

always existed. And yet he is the firstborn. He comes first and everything in all creation, because

he is the Son of God. And that Son of God took your place on

the cross so that we could be sons of God. The wrath of God fell on Him so we could be treated

like a perfect firstborn Son of God. Unless you remember who you are and start to walk
