Hi, Dr Laura, thanks for having me on.

You're my pleasure. How can I help?

So I am 23. I'm from Michigan originally I live in New York now but I have a buddy

Back in Michigan who I've been friends with for about seven years now. He had a pretty hard life growing up.

Kind of no parental figures around and at this point he's 27.

He has yet to take accountability for the decisions and the actions that he makes, which are quite

poor and he doesn't really take a chance for himself.

Kind of counted himself out of the game and as a buddy he's been reaching out to me a whole bunch and I'm kind of moving on in my life I just moved

out to New York I finished college a year ago and I feel like I owe it to him to tell him that

look I I've helped you as much as I can and at this point it's just kind of bringing me down but what has he called for what has he called

to ask help for and what kind of help have you been giving?

In the past like he doesn't have a driver's license and so he's he's come to myself and my family is you know felt for him in the past and has come to some of us for money and
