| 0:00.0 | You |
| 0:30.0 | Yeah, good morning to you. Good morning and welcome to JoinUpDarts. You know, I find it very interesting, the kind of emails and messages that we get through JoinUpDarts because I build it thinking, right, this is what we should be heading towards. This is what we should be doing. And then somebody comes along and asks the question. And I think, oh, you know, I'm going to |
| 1:00.0 | yeah, okay, but that's an interesting one. And so I had an email from a lady in a young lady, I imagine, in Indiana, in America, talking about her difficulties going through her student studies and how she finds it difficult to motivate herself for studying. And she said, you know, do you have any tips? Do you have any assistance you can provide to me? Well, I decided to dig into it. And as I was digging into it, I thought to myself, you know, it's interesting this, |
| 1:30.0 | because it's not just studying what we're saying here, it's settling down to do something. And that's what we talk about in JoinUpDarts. It's the building, the business dream. It's about making sure that our future is better due to the work that we do at the time. And quite often, most people are doing it as a side hustle. Most people are coming home from a late day at work, thinking, oh, tired tonight. And I leave it till tomorrow. And so that motivation to |
| 2:00.0 | build something is quite difficult. So we've done this podcast episode on how to motivate for studying, but you can apply it to the students of the world. Good luck to you all with whatever you're learning. And also to anybody out there that is trying to get a side hustle going and settling down at the weekends and in the evenings to actually, you know, get something going. And when it comes to sort of knowing how to motivate the studying. |
| 2:30.2 | Every person has their own way of learning. Now some learn best in a quiet space. And others do better with music. I go into me, boys bedroom, and it's like a disco in there, or a club. He says, people don't call it discos anymore unless you're in the 1970s. Okay. But I said, you know, how can you study with that? He says, it helps me. It helps me. So, okay, fair enough. He's doing all right. |
| 2:52.6 | And some do well with solo study sessions, others prefer study groups, but why is this? Well, it's because this the first thing that you've got to realize, we all have different motivators. What motivates one person may not necessarily motivate someone else. |
| 3:10.5 | And very in lies the key to motivation yourself for studying and also building your own business. You've got to identify what those motivators are and use them to their fullest potential. |
| 3:24.3 | So in this podcast, we're going to really delve into this and give you our tips how to motivate for studying. And of course, for business creation to it works. It's a double hander. |
| 3:35.8 | So very first thing I think we need to do is define what motivates you and why? Why are you actually studying this thing? Is it because your parents have said and that's very hard when somebody says to you, right, we never had the chance to learn the piano. We want you to learn the piano. So you have him. |
| 3:52.9 | Our and know it and you think, oh, don't really want to learn the piano. It's very hard to do that. So you've got to know why are you actually doing these things in the first place? Why are you trying to build your online business? Why are you studying whatever you're studying because knowing what motivates you is an important part of getting that going helps you to stay on track with your goals, building a dream business and life. |
| 4:18.9 | And it also helps identify things that might be getting in your way. So it's good to know what does not motivate you as much as it is to motivate you as well so that you can avoid those things were necessary. |
| 4:33.2 | So how do we do this? Well, knowing what is important to you, it's jot down, jot down a list of actually, why am I doing this? Why am I aiming to achieve from it? |
| 4:44.9 | Why am I spending hours? Is it that I want a big house at the end of it? I want a great career. I want freedom. I want a lifestyle that's inspirational, not just for me, but everybody else. You've really got to jot down why you're actually doing it. |
| 5:03.9 | And if something is something important to someone else, but not much for you, then it might provide you with less motivation or none at all. So know what you want out of life and remember that whenever possible, this will keep you motivated. You look at it and you go, right, this is, and that's why vision boards work so well, but you look at it, you go, yeah, that's what I want. |
| 5:26.0 | I want that big house. I want that infinity pool. Yeah, okay, I know it's early in the morning. I know I'm tired, but that's what I'm working towards. So spend some time working through this and then know the reasons why you are working towards your something really define that and it'll make it so much easier for you. |
| 5:46.8 | Now, on the backside of that is, you got to reward yourself. |
| 5:52.6 | We are, you know, we're, we're just basically animals. You wave a carrot in front of us and we're going to move towards the carrot. |
| 6:00.9 | And a lot of entrepreneurs and business owners and certainly myself were terrible at rewarding ourselves. We achieve something and then it's like, right, okay, done that. Let's move on to the next bit. That's wrong. |
| 6:12.1 | You've got to actually stop and go, yeah, okay, I'm going to enjoy myself now. So know how to properly reward yourself for achieving something and motivate yourself to know your strengths and weaknesses. |
| 6:26.7 | So some people are not motivated by rewards, for example, but others are. Some people don't want free time. Other people do. Some people want to reward themselves with a lay-in. I never do that. I'm always up at the crack of the door. Okay. |
| 6:42.8 | So make sure that you use your rewards correctly so they can be effective in helping motivate you. Know what makes you happy and do it. Okay. |
