Devon Nunes, back with Captain Jerry Hendricks, retired naval aviator, author.

Jerry, I hope everybody buys your book for Christmas.

It's a small book, very concise, though, talking about the future of the U.S. Navy.

And tell us a little bit about that.

Well, we're going to get into it. We're going to talk Navy.

I wrote to provide a maintain a Navy, actually, for someone to be able to sit down and read in a day.

To understand why sea power is important, in fact, it's critical to the United States,

and should be at the center of our national security strategy.

We are a maritime nation. We are founded that way.

We are dependent upon the seas. We are vulnerable to the seas.

And so to provide a maintain a Navy is an important primer for people to come to grips with

why the Navy, Navy competition is going to be a huge issue for us going forward over the next 20 years.

Yeah, it's essentially a book that every decision maker in this country,

anybody that cares about the future of our military, the future of the globe,

international affairs, should read your book. It doesn't take a long time, but it's very clear.

And today I just want to take a chance. Let's do just a quick little tutorial on frigates.

Because that's basically at the main premise of your book, or both frigates and submarines,

the combination of the two. Obviously, we know with hypersonic missiles,
