Hello, once again, we are here on the Empowered couples podcast, and joining us today, we are so, so excited for Egbert and Joy Savedra to be joining us.

To give you a little background to who they are, they live in Tucson, Arizona, and they've been married for 17 years.

Today, we found out, is their actual anniversary. They have two children that are nine and six years

old, and Egbert is a top retina surgeon and investor, while Joy is a miraculous mom, an angel investor, and has a network marketing business.

But they just really love to travel with their family and experience other cultures.

And it's so important to them that their children grow up having compassion, love, empathy for

everyone that they come across, which to me and Jocelyn as well is

really reflected in the way they interact and communicate with the people in

their own lives and their mentality around how they raise their own

children which we can get into more but they just wanted to also start with

they feel that a key component to a success in marriage is open communication.
