0:00.0 | This is a great lesson for everybody listening. |
0:10.1 | If you're taking the mindset of, I have to, into your workout, you're missing the point, right? |
0:18.0 | Take a mindset of curiosity, take a mindset of exploration, and take a |
0:22.6 | mindset of focus and depth into your workout, right? So what does depth mean, right? So the world we |
0:29.1 | live in is very superficial. It's very focused on breadth rather than depth. If I could give you |
0:34.2 | guys a piece of advice, I give an example, actually. I had a gentleman who's in my coaching team came up last weekend and he's here for four days. |
0:41.0 | And normally in the workouts that I prescribed for him, he's probably doing 12 to 15 sets per body part, which a lot. |
0:47.0 | He's a big guy, a muscular guy. |

1:06.0 | how far are you taking a set, right? It's like normally the sets are very superficial. You |
1:10.2 | kind of stick you kind of |
1:10.8 | stick your big toe and you're like, okay, I'm down, that's enough. The focus is lacking, |
1:14.3 | execution is lacking, the ability to take the set deep is absent, you know? And so one of the |
1:20.8 | greatest pieces of advice, us as coaches can offer you guys, is train depth, right? Train the ability to go deeper. And sometimes when we, |
1:31.2 | when we focus on breadth, meaning I want to do more, coach, I want to do more sets, do more exercises. |
1:38.1 | What do we miss? We miss the depth, right? We go, we go wide and not deep. And when you guys learn to go deep first, |
1:47.6 | your results will be exponential. So first, it's quality, right? Has to be the prerequisitive |
1:52.6 | at all, like move well. We're talking about that today. And then it's like, how do I take a single |
1:58.2 | set as far as I physically can? The exercise experience, let's talk about that. |
