I think it is at the moment an unrealistic fear that Donald Trump is going to try to stay in office.

Never say never, but I would be shocked. We're right in the middle of a messy presidential transition.

Some people think this is just a lot of sort of Trumpian bluster and that as the results become clear and the lawsuits

are not successful that it will just sort of work its way out some people are more afraid.

I think that's just like too related to tell.

Transitiers are incredibly important.

They can lead to huge mistakes

if they are rushed and they are not completed.

Take the presidential transition a couple of decades ago.

It can get ugly and there are real consequences.

After 9-11, the 9-11 Commission concluded that W Bush's short transition in 2000 led to part of the

problems of the bureaucracy that led them to miss some of the intelligence that was out there.

So that being said, I think, you know, W Bush,

they had to wait 37 days.

It's actually only been 10 days since election day.

So I would say that I would be surprised if we go all 37 days

but for the moment I feel democracy is fairly durable. This is nerdcast. I'm
