0:03.8	Yeah, excited to have you on the podcast.
0:06.1	I know you are a big time real estate investor.
0:09.3	You've also mastered marketing and I guess dealing with like highly motivated sellers
0:15.9	and getting niche lists and stuff like that but before we get into all that I
0:20.9	guess can you give everyone like your quick back story? So I came
0:24.9	from the teaching world I actually got my college degree and teaching kids
0:30.4	algebra and geometry so for three years I did that game.
0:34.1	Taut ninth graders and tenth graders math which is definitely a harder sell
0:38.7	than buying a house at 50 cents on the dollar. I'll tell you that. But there was something about it. I just didn't see myself doing that for 30 years.
0:46.8	Financially, it didn't make sense. It didn't feed my soul at all. And for years I just wanted to get into flipping.
0:56.5	Had no idea how I was going to do it.
0:58.2	So I approached my folks and it was like,
1:01.2	can we just buy a really cheap house I'll do all the work you
1:04.9	fund it will split it 50-50 so we found a cheap cheap house in Kansas City I
1:10.0	spent my my summer away from school flipping it and we ended up making 18 k on it.
1:16.3	I took away nine and was like that's not a lot of money but the reality is I made about the
1:21.1	same amount of money during that time as teaching.
1:24.0	So I had confidence that I could leave teaching and just went cold turkey and went directly
1:28.6	into real estate investing.
