TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

PROVERBS 4:10-19 - Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. 11 I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. 12 When you walk, your step will not be hampered, and if you run, you will not stumble. 13 Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life. 14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. 15 Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on. 16 For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. 18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. 19 The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.

0:00.0	Hello, my friends, it is time for the morning mindset. Welcome. I'm glad that you're here. This is an opportunity we have today to together get our minds aligned with the truth of God's
0:16.4	word today.
0:17.4	Friends, I wonder if you feel something that I feel.
0:21.5	I feel like the darkness is closing in. Do you feel it? Do you see it in the
0:26.7	world that there is just wickedness and evil all around? And I don't think it's
0:31.6	anything really different. Maybe it's just being manifested in different ways because
0:36.4	evil has always been around. It's just manifested in different ways at different times.
0:41.6	But our goal as believers in Jesus Christ is to not get overwhelmed
0:47.6	by the wickedness in the world, but rather to become a righteous light in the darkness of the wickedness.
0:54.5	That's what scripture tells us.
0:56.0	And today as we look in Proverbs chapter 4,
0:59.0	v. 10 through 19, we're going to learn another piece of how we can do that as we strive to get our minds
1:06.2	aligned with the truth of God's word in this passage.
1:10.4	Now before we get started let's pray that the Lord will guide us as we seek to understand
1:15.8	his wisdom from Proverbs chapter 4 verses 10 through 19.
1:20.5	Lord God we confess that the darkness sometimes feels oppressive and overbearing and we do not want to give into it.
1:28.5	We want our light to shine brightly and with strength because of the power of your spirit in us.
1:34.8	So Lord, enable us through the simplicity of faith to learn how to be bold and courageous and bright in the way we shine in this dark world in Jesus name
1:46.2	amen. Okay friends in this series we've been doing it's called Wise Among Fools.
1:56.4	We are learning how to apply wisdom in the foolish world that we live in. And part of that darkness I described is the
2:00.5	foolishness that's going on in our culture.
2:03.0	And so as we read Proverbs 4, beginning in verse number 10,
