0:34.4	But my friends, I have to tell you, we need Corpus Christi more than ever before.
0:39.6	And not just because we're coming out of COVID and churches are opening up, but I'm talking
0:43.4	about what's going on in our Catholic church today.
0:46.1	The Pew Research Report that came out a while ago noted that 69 percent, 69 percent of
0:53.5	self-identified Catholics do not believe in the real presence of the Eucharist.
0:59.9	They think that the Eucharist is just a symbol.
1:03.3	This isn't, we're not talking about our Protestant brothers and sisters here.
1:05.9	We're not talking about the atheists in our secular culture.
1:09.2	We're talking about people who identify as Catholics.
1:12.7	They grew up with some kind of Catholic faith background and they don't believe 69 percent
1:17.7	just think the Eucharist is just a piece of bread.
1:21.3	It's just some wine and it's a symbol, a sacred symbol, a reminder of Jesus, not the very
1:27.3	real presence, body, blood, soul, and divinity.
1:30.3	We're having a crisis of faith.
1:32.1	The Eucharist is at the very center of faith life.
