Summary
The Eucharist reminds us that God doesn’t just want to be with us; he wants to dwell within us. Sr. Mary Grace, Sr. Ann Immaculée, and Sr. Marie Veritas begin this new season on the Eucharist by reflecting on the great gift of the Eucharist and its power to give meaning and purpose to every aspect of our lives. The Sisters conclude the episode by inviting us to allow Jesus to shape our lives by seeking him in his loving Eucharistic presence.
This season of Let Love is produced in collaboration with Ascension.

| 0:31.2 | I'm Sister Anna MacUllay. I'm Sister Mary Grace. I'm Sister Veritas. And we are so excited to be back with you. |
| 0:37.3 | We've missed you. It's been a couple months now. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we're excited to start the season with you, and something kind of new, our Let Love podcast is being produced in collaboration with Ascension, which is really great. Yeah. Thanks to Ascension. And we're super excited about this season. I'm so excited about the seasons. It's basically about the best thing ever. Jesus and the Eucharist. Which, yeah, it's just our heart. It's our life. It's going to be hard to contain us. I know. We should have like a timer or something. I know. We actually should. To be very honest. Well, I mean, it's so true, Sister Ann, because it's like the Eucharist makes sense of our lives. Everything. Everything. Eucharist makes sense of everything. And that's actually the theme for this season, which is pretty epic. Yeah. So it's just really exciting. Yeah, it sure is. It kind of reminded me. I was recently visiting my family, as we do usually once a year, sisters of life. And I was home with my family. And, you know, it was the last night. So my family wanted to treat us. It was actually Mother's Day. So we took mum out for dinner and came to the end of the night and I needed to go and use the washroom or in Australia's we call the Lou. And so I went to go to the Lou at the end of the night. And there were three ladies kind of chatting around taking selfies and, you know, kind of catching up over the sink. |
| 2:03.8 | So I just, you know, went to do my thing. And I was thinking to myself, I was like, oh, my goodness. I said, this is going to be so interesting when I came out because they didn't kind of notice me when I walked in. But I noticed they were talking about, you know, their experience of their recent martini and what they were going to drink next and what the flavors were. And I was thinking, oh my gosh, what am I, how am I going to enter this conversation? Can I? This is just going to be awkward. So anyway, I come out. And of course, as soon as I walk out, it's like conversation, it's just shut down. It's complete silence. These three women were standing there. They're a bit confused. I'm just washing my hands, getting ready to go. And then one lady steps |
| 2:17.7 | forward and she said, excuse me, I just have to ask, what costume party are you going to? |
| 2:24.5 | And I was like, well, you know, actually, this is, this is my daily outfit. I was like, I'm a real sister. |
| 2:31.0 | And they were like, what? What's it going? Like, glasses go down. They're like, |
| 2:34.9 | they can't believe it. And without even skipping a beat, this first woman who, you know, their conversation was all about martini seconds ago, first thing it comes out of a mouth is she said, sister, we're all looking for meaning and purpose in our lives. It looks like you got it. What is it for you. |
| 2:50.6 | Awesome. |
| 2:51.0 | Like, I was like, wow, I didn't even have to, like, kickstart that one. |
| 2:54.4 | You usually have to warm people up and like mention things, but she was like ready to get down to business. She's like, I'm looking for meaning. I'm looking for purpose. And it made me think of this season because I was like, for us as Catholics, this is everything. This is not a part of our life. It's not a moment. |
| 3:09.8 | It's it's not just our Sunday best. It's the Eucharist is everything. It makes meaning of our failures. |
| 3:16.3 | It makes meaning of our sufferings. It make meaning of our joys. The Eucharist literally has the |
| 3:21.7 | capacity to make meaning of every moment of our life. And we're going to talk |
| 3:25.4 | about that. What does that look like? How do I touch that? How do I access that? How do I do that? |
| 3:32.3 | You know, if it really is the source and summit with the church promises us, then how can I live like it is the |
| 3:38.2 | source and summit of my day today? Awesome. |
| 3:41.3 | I love it. |
| 3:41.6 | Yeah. |
| 3:43.3 | Yeah, because we don't normally grow up with that. |
| 4:04.6 | Like, you hear it that the church says it's the source and summit. But yeah, what does that mean for me personally? You know, so I love that, yeah, just being able to engage in that dialogue. Yes. I love that. Yeah. And then it's the ache on every human heart that we need to know life matters, that there's meaning to this, that there's more to me than just the next drink choice. |
