0:18.8	You have one year, one season, one try, sometimes more depending on the crop, but if you make

0:34.3	I'm actually really curious, Josh, when you first started gardening, when was that in

0:38.8	Yeah, so I first started gardening, hadn't grown anything prior to, just after the Olympics,
0:47.8	2010, Vancouver hosted, really, really busy time, two small kids at the time, busy chef.
0:56.0	You I wanted to grow, but had no idea what that meant.
0:59.9	So there was a water equation, I didn't know the difference between soil or dirt.
1:06.0	That's a very common one, everyone calls it dirt at the start.
1:12.6	Seeds too, I had never grown anything from seed, it always somehow was a plant first and
1:19.9	just had no capacity to know what it was like.
1:25.2	So I dove right in, I dove right in and experimented with Oya's, I dove right in and direct
1:31.5	seeding and buying transplants and just trying to understand, I felt so overwhelmed in the
1:39.0	beginning as practical knowledge or insight to gardening, wasn't maybe as accessible as
1:49.1	what I thought it would have been.

1:59.5	in the garden, didn't really get a lot of books, but did join a community garden, asked
