| 0:00.0 | One of the most popular things that I've talked about in the last decade is the idea |
| 0:11.0 | of relational leadership. |
| 0:13.0 | A lot of men still want to be able to lead within the context of relationship and a lot of |
| 0:17.5 | women still want a man who has the ability to lead. It doesn't mean that every single |
| 0:22.8 | woman wants you as a man to make all the decisions in the relationship. In fact, that's what a lot of |
| 0:27.9 | women will say that they don't want or is a major turnoff or gives them the ick or however people |
| 0:32.6 | phrase it. But the truth is that you as a man are still going to find value in leading in many different |
| 0:40.8 | aspects of your life. |
| 0:42.0 | And there are certain things that are going to break down your ability to lead relationally. |
| 0:47.3 | And I'm going to break down a couple things that collapses leadership within a relationship. |
| 0:51.9 | And then I give you three specific pillars or strategies |
| 0:54.6 | that will support you in relational leadership. So let's get in. First off, I want to say that |

| 1:07.5 | single decision, choosing for the other person, your significant other, calling all the |
| 1:13.0 | shots. It's really about setting the direction and the vision for the relationship. Now, sometimes |
| 1:19.4 | that does mean that you are making big decisions. But in other times, you're collecting data |
| 1:24.6 | and information about what your significant other, what the relationship |
| 1:28.3 | might need, being able to assess that, and then being able to either collaboratively or individually |
| 1:34.2 | make decisions based on that place. If you are in a place of control, we do that because we don't |
| 1:42.1 | trust. And if you don't trust your significant other, they're going to feel that, they're going |
| 1:46.8 | to feel resentful, they're not going to feel safe or connected in the relationship, and you |
| 1:52.4 | are going to lose respect and engagement with the other person. |
