On today's episode I'm going to interview Brent B. Shore.

He's an author and the owner of permanent equity.

Now, like most private equity firms, they hold multiple companies. But Brent's company really

stands out because they don't buy companies to just strip and sell them. No, he's buying companies

to keep them, to help keep their existing leadership in place and help

those companies succeed.

But I didn't want to talk to Brent about his business and business model.

I wanted to talk to him because he's like a lot of people out there right now.

He's trying to follow Jesus in the midst of a looming economic crisis.

But unlike a lot of business owners, he doesn't have to worry about just one business he has to worry about

all mine that his company owns that's making payroll keeping employees and a lot of

families afloat and so I wanted to hear about how he's navigating through anxiety and

uncertainty and how following Jesus is shaping that journey. So Brent, you own nine

businesses, so tell us a bit more about them and how they're doing.

We have offices in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, Dallas, Oklahoma City,

St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, Norfolk, Virginia. So coast to coast. We're in

construction manufacturing aerospace. North Virginia. So coast to coast, we're in construction, manufacturing, aerospace, recruitment,

there's a lot of different industries. We span industries, we span geographies, and I can tell

you that there's not a business that hasn't been touched by this.
