What's up guys? Welcome back to build. And today I want to talk about how to lead when everything

feels hard. So I wanted to touch on this topic because it is something that I've been working with

multiple people on my leadership team on as well as multiple portfolio CEOs.

It's a bit of a theme that I'm noticing, and I think it's really normal in fast-growing

companies and in companies that are just growing quickly.

You know, sometimes you're not even fast-growing, but if you're small and you're just

growing, it can cause a lot of issues that maybe you didn't

anticipate.

And I think those issues can look like underperforming.

I think those issues can look like misalignment with culture.

I think those issues can look like people with the wrong expectations.

I think those issues can look like a team that's entitled.

as I was walking through how to handle these situations with my team, I realized, wow, you know,

Because the irony of it is that I've probably had to go in and essentially change a department, whether it be the performance or the

culture, I want to say at least a dozen times, probably more like 10. I think I could recall

mine when I was really thinking about it. I'm sure there's more than that that I blacked out.
