Hey, what's up, friends? Grant Baldwin here. Today we are joined by a friend of the program and friend

here at the speaker lab, one of our coaches, in fact, Mr. Eric Ream. And one of the things that's

fun about Eric and his story is he's actually kind of a, he's a product of our system, meaning that he actually learned about booked and paid to speak, went through a program several years ago and has been killing it ever since. And I'm just, let's fast forward here to the headline. And then we're going to kind of backtrack and go back to the future on this but uh eric just booked a massive gig and so i'm gonna let me turn it over to you what in fact like not just like hey this happened you know a couple months ago uh you're just tying this up within like the past couple hours right yes talk to us give us the headline and then like, we'll go back in time. What have you booked here?

Yeah, hot off the presses, Grant. This is really exciting. So as a community, I think it's really cool when things like this happen, we can celebrate as a community, but also this is a way for us to deconstruct how we got here, right? So literally, I just got out of the phone with an event I've been chasing the down. The big white well grant, if you will, I started chasing late last year right up to the pandemic. I thought I was going to get it. Then it kind of slowed down because of the pandemic. We reconnected over the last few weeks. And literally they told me last week where ago and I confirmed with them this morning. They're sending me the paperwork. Are you ready for this grant? I'm going to land a $40,000 gig. Wow. That is fantastic. I feel like we need to insert like I don't know some cheer or celebration or pyro or something there. A $40,000 gig.

Which again, we're going to dig into all the nuts and bolts of how that came to be in that process. But what does that entail? I assume that that's not just a one-hour keynote. And here's your check. And thank you very much. Well, what else does that include? Yeah. Well, first of all, can I just tell you real quick how excited I am to be here? I just want to say that. I don't want to ever say that. This is, I never take this for granted.

You know, we just got out of the holidays, right? We're going into the new year. This is kind of the equivalent to me, Grant. I was thinking about my happy place. This is like going to the North Pole for me and your Santa Claus. I am so giddy being here right now. sitting next to the fire drinking some hot chocolate with you this is fantastic man
