0:37.1	ready here's a picture of my potatoes so let's go ahead and just dig
0:40.9	into it so first of all let's talk about how potatoes are actually grown.
0:45.8	What are the growth phases of potatoes? So the first phase, there are five different phases.
0:50.6	The first phase is when sprouts emerge from the seed potatoes and the growth of the new roots starts.
0:57.0	So that's phase one.
0:58.0	During the second phase, the plant is throwing up that initial first shoot, right?
1:02.7	So it's developing leaves, it's developing branches,
1:05.3	and now it has the ability to photosynthesize
1:08.2	and produce more energy and really speed up that growing process.
