One often overlooked part of deer hunting is access. Many hunters pay little to no attention to how they access their properties or their stands, figuring the quickest way from point A to point B is a straight-line. But bullet proof access, or at least really good access, is one of the most critical things when it comes to upping your odds of taking a mature buck. Dan hunts on permission properties in Iowa that are often difficult to access without alerting deer.
