How do I prepare myself adequately to have uncomfortable conversations with people?

You touched on an earlier Josh about being kind, about being self-aware.

I mentioned being compassionate.

These are the ways that you have meaningful conversations with people.

You can do your part.

That doesn't mean they're going to do their part and that's okay.

How do you prepare for it?

You prepare for it in that way.

How can I come at this compassionately?

How can I come at this and show the other person I understand where they're coming from?

That's really what we want.

We want to be loved.

We want to be understood.

We get argue why those are common ones.

That's how difficult conversations happen.

You show people that like, hey, I love you and I understand you.

If you take that approach, it's still difficult conversations.

They're called difficult conversations for a reason.

I know my experience, they go smooth as they can go.

They don't go perfect, but it's a lot better than if I come at someone being accusatory.

That's what makes the conversation even more uncomfortable at times.

I would just step back and say, what makes your conversation uncomfortable?
